|Public Education and Tours|
Station Tours are available most days to the public. We are always happy to try and accommodate walk ins, but the best way to ensure a great tour is to make an appointment.
Education Outreach Programs:
Bring your class out for a tour of the station. We can adapt each tour to the length of time and subject matter you request. We have information and materials for kids of all ages to learn the basics of how to react to emergencies.
Bring your class down to the station for a class session. If you're interested in sharing with your students how their school topics relate to the “real-world”, we can work with you to develop a lesson plan for class at the station. A firefighter will lead your class through lessons on how specific topics you are discussing are utilized in the fire service. Not only is math used frequently, but we also deal with biology, chemistry, science, writing, psychology, and several other fields of study.
We offer groups 1 hour classes on preparing you and your family for disasters. These classes encompass what to store, what to expect from responders, how to help us, help you, and what to plan for after the event.
